How do I compress a video for Discord?

Choose Discord · 10 MB and press Compress video. VidFold plans the bitrate from the video’s length; if the first pass comes out too big, it runs once more at a smaller frame size. The download screen shows whether the file fits.

Why does my compressed video look blurry?

A size limit caps the bitrate, and a long video gets little data per frame. Trim it first in Preview & edit, or pick 720p, to keep more detail in what’s left.

Is there a maximum file size?

There’s no upload limit because nothing is uploaded. Very large files depend on your device’s memory and free storage.

Is my video uploaded?

No. VidFold processes the file with your browser’s own video APIs, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and location and device details are removed from the export by default.
